Timed sections: fully signposted
Non-timed liaison stages: Route following according to GPX routes provided by your navigation device. Marking only at certain intersections
Mechanical damage, physical failure
A broom wagon is available to repatriate participants who have suffered major mechanical damage preventing them from reaching the finish. This service is also available for the slightly injured.
In the event of an accident
Two teams of first-aiders (First-responders) are on hand at all times to provide assistance. In the event of serious injury, an ambulance or helicopter is dispatched to the scene of the accident (at the participant's expense).
Insurance
Each participant must have :
- Valid personal liability insurance.
- Personal accident insurance covering bodily injury, search, evacuation and repatriation costs.
- Insurance covering medical expenses abroad (hospitalization, treatment).
- Accidental death coverage.
In the event of an incident, the organization cannot be held responsible.
Cut-off time barriers
Enjoy the destination, yes, but you'll still need to be on time for dinner. Time barriers are in place to ensure that the races run smoothly. These "cut-off times" are calculated on the basis of double the estimated best time + 20 %, which leaves a comfortable margin for finishing each stage in complete serenity.
